Keep reading to learn more about the top Samsung devices for 2018!

Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup going into 2018 are the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy Note8. There are two versions available for the Galaxy S8 - the S8 and the larger, 6.2-inch S8 Plus. Both smartphones feature Quad HD Infinity displays with over 4 million pixels that can render up to 16 million different colors. In addition to the phone’s edge-to-edge screen, Samsung has also added a new software Home button and always-on display, which makes it easier to activate the phone at a moment’s notice. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back near the camera lens, as well, and users will now have an option for a facial recognition feature to unlock their smartphone. The biggest feature that has caught the attention of reviewers and customers, however, is Bixby, Samsung’s new digital assistant. Bixby expertly combines elements of voice commands, image recognition and Google Now cards for easy access to whatever you may need. The S8 is powered by an Octa Core 2.35Ghz processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

For those who want more of a tablet/phone combination, the Note8 is Samsung’s wildly popular phablet. The Note8 boasts a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with quad HD resolution. The 8-megapixel front-facing camera with image enhancement is great for selfies, while the back camera features two 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras for wide-angle and telephoto photography. The Note8 gets 64GB of storage, and the storage capacity can be expanded easily with a microSDXC card. The Note8 also features a powerful Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor, which is the same processor used in the S8. The Note8 has 6GB of RAM, is water and dust resistant, and comes loaded with apps and other security features.

If Samsung’s current lineup isn’t enough to get you excited, Samsung is expected to debut two hotly-anticipated new phones later in 2018. First, there’s the Samsung Galaxy S9, which industry analysts believe could be launched during the spring or early summer of 2018. Following soon after that would, of course, be the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Little is known so far about the new Galaxy S9 and Note9 phones, but Samsung is not expected to significantly increase pricing, and recent leaks suggest new colors and docking options for the S9 lineup. Samsung and Qualcomm are reportedly working on new processors for the next generation of smartphones, and the new phones might also get newer, higher-performance displays.

Stay tuned for more updates as Samsung is expected to begin teasing the upcoming S9 lineup as early as late January! The 2018 calendar year promises to be a good one for fans of Samsung mobile devices.
