The 2018 Honda CR-V is easily one of the best vehicles of the year, if not the very best crossover SUV. Offering powerful performance and remarkable efficiency, the 2018 Honda CR-V provides drivers with an unforgettable driving experience. Its 184-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine allows for robust acceleration and the standard CVT transmission is particularly smooth. Getting 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, you’ll be making fewer trips to the gas pump compared to most SUVs. While the interior only features cloth seating for up to five passengers, drivers can upgrade to leather or heated seats. All passengers can expect comfortable and supportive seating with plenty of legroom. Two sets of Latch connectors can accommodate two child car seats. And although standard features are minimal, drivers will have the choice for plenty of optional features like dual-zone climate control, moonroof, satellite radio, smartphone integration and a 7inch display infotainment system. But if that’s not enough, there are numerous driver assistance features available like lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring.

The 2018 Toyota Highlander is another one of the year’s best crossover SUVs. Offering one powerful V6 engine, an exquisite interior and a long list of standard features, it’s everything you want in an SUV. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a sufficient 185 horsepower, but it’s the 295-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine that drivers will want. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle provides rapid acceleration and a smooth, comfortable ride. Getting 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, the V6 is more efficient than the base engine. A hybrid model that is also available offers a better city rating of 29 mpg. Seating up to eight passengers, the Honda CR-V offers a ton of seating options such as leatherette upholstery, power-adjustable seats and ventilation. Standard features include five USB ports, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, a 6.1-inch display infotainment system, and driver assistance features like pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control.

One pleasant surprise this year is the fully-redesigned 2018 Buick Enclave. With more passenger and cargo space, a quiet interior and a terrific fuel economy, this is the best Buick Enclave yet. Getting 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, the V6 engine is surprisingly efficient. The 3.6-liter V6 generates up to 310-horsepower and comes paired with a smooth nine-speed transmission. Offering spacious seating for up to seven passengers, your whole family will find the Enclave to be extremely comfortable, especially thanks to features like tri-zone climate control and an optional moonroof. With other standard features like smartphone integration, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot and satellite radio, everyone will be well entertained. While a rearview camera and parking sensors comes standard, other driver assistance features like lane departure warning come at an additional cost. But the most notable feature of the new Enclave would have to be outstanding cargo area that offers up to 97.6 cubic feet of space - greater than most mid-size SUVs.
